PR: Kasim Edebali Celebrates Comeback in the Championship Game of the European League of Football Against Frankfurt Galaxy

Great news for all football fans! Kasim Edebali is back after his ankle injury and will be available for the Hamburg Sea Devils on Sunday, September 26th at 2 p.m. in the championship game of the European League of Football against Frankfurt Galaxy. After an MRI scan on Friday afternoon, team doctors gave the go-ahead for the defensive end to make a comeback.

“I’m ready, I’m hot and I can promise that it will be really crispy in Düsseldorf. My advice to everyone who is in the mood for sport and a cool show: come to the stadium and be there when history is being made. Both teams really want to win this first final and will put everything into it again. But I’m sure we’ll get the trophy.”

Edebali was injured against the Barcelona Dragons at the end of September and missed five games, including the second comparison with Frankfurt 35-9, in which Hamburg had no chance. The first duel at the start of the season was won by the Sea Devils 17-15 – with the 32-year-old Edebali on the field, who had made 62 appearances in the best league in the world for the New Orleans Saints and the Cincinnati Bengals.

Kasim had been back in his hometown since June, and was not only the face of the Sea Devils, but also a figurehead for the whole league.

“I was immediately fascinated by the idea behind the European League of Football. I am proud to have been part of it right from the start, so that I can pass on my experience and learn from my teammates myself. The level is really high, I’ve met a lot of talented guys. The first season was really good – and it will get a lot better. ”

The Sea Devils focus solely on the Championship Game on Sunday in the MERKUR SPIEL-Arena in Düsseldorf, in which the EX-NFL professional plays a key role:

“Just his presence and charisma have an effect on our team, but also on the opponent. Kasim has already played important games in his career and everyone else grows with him.”

Head Coach Andreas Nommensen

Over 20,000 tickets had already been sol for the game, including standing-room-only options. To order tickets to the Final, follow this link to ticketmaster.de.
