PR: Tago Leads The Field With 30 Reps In The Bench Press At CFL Combine

Boersma and Cobb soar 40.5 inches for tops in the vertical jump

TORONTO (March 26, 2022) – Defensive lineman Noke Tago of Samoa tallied 30 reps in the bench press to top all prospects as the Canadian Football League (CFL) Combine presented by New Era kicked off. Running back Daniel Adeboboye from Toronto led all national prospects with 28. Wide receivers Riley Boersma and Gavin Cobb soared 40.5 inches in the vertical jump to lead all nationals, while fellow wide receiver Robin Wilzeck of Germany bested the global prospects by registering 38.0 inches.

The CFL Combine gathers the top national and global prospects to showcase their skills for coaches, general managers and personnel representing the league’s nine member clubs. Prospects are looking to impress the league’s leadership ahead of the 2022 editions of the CFL Draft and CFL Global Draft on May 3.
